Anderson Valley goes on beer run

Anderson Valley's new beer runner blog

“Today marks the first of my beer runner blogs.”

So begins the new chronicles of Steve Miller from Anderson Valley Brewing Company, who recently organized a beer run for Sacramento Beer Week and is hoping to meet up with fellow beer runners during his travels around the country.

“I’m not trying to impress anyone or challenge myself with a ‘run streak,'” he writes, and I have no idea who he could be talking about. Instead, he’s hoping to balance out beer drinking and running. A great goal, if you ask me.

I’m looking forward to following more from his blog, and if he stops in Milwaukee I hope to share a few miles and a few pints.

You can find more background and Steve’s travel itinerary here.

Tim Cigelske is DRAFT's Beer Runner. (Beer Run•ner [noun]: Someone equally devoted to fine beer appreciation and an active, healthy lifestyle. Ex. "John downed four microbrews at the triathlon finish line. He's a total beer runner.”) Follow Tim on Twitter @TheBeerRunner, and email him at beerrunner [at]

I’d love to run in Milwaukee–pints and miles sounds awesome! Your blog in Draft was one of the reasons I got into beer running (well that and the desire to rid myself of the muffin top around my 501’s.). I’m sure I’ll find myself in WI someday, but in the meantime let’s both keep on runnin’ and I’ll keep being jealous of all your post-run beers that we can’t get out here;) Cheers to you Tim and Bahl Hornin’!
