So far, 2015 seems to be the year of the beer-themed race series, with the continued popularity and expansion of Craft Brew Races and others.

The Beer & Bagel Off-Road Race Series is another growing segment of this niche, though it’s been around for 22 years.

After starting in Nebraska, it has since spread to five states, including Iowa, South Dakota, Arkansas and Pennsylvania.

The perks are meant to appeal to beer runners. The “4-mile-ish” trail run features beer, bagels and chili at the finish line party. The shirt features the race series slogan: “I’m a Drinker with a Running Problem!”
