Kansas City to Cleveland

Fellow DRAFT readers, I need your help. For the next five days I’m trekking through Kansas City and Cleveland with copious amounts of time to hit the best beer bars in those areas. Got any tips? Post them in the comments or send me a note on Twitter at @DRAFTBeerEditor. Cheers!

In KC: Head to Westport for McCoy’s Brewpub. The Beer Kitchen is located right across the street as well. Not a lot of taps, but what they have on hand is usually pretty good.
Columbia, MO: Take the Providence exit off I-70 and head south towards MU campus for Flat Branch Brewpub. Shakespeare’s Pizza is within walking distance and has pretty good craft selection.
St. Louis: Lot’s of good picks, but I’d go with the tasting room at 4 hands. Lots of cool seasonal offerings and imperials there.
more St. Louis: tons of options, but some of my favorites. Breweries: Urban Chestnut, Perennial, Civil Life, 4 Hands, Schlafly (tap room). Restaurants with GREAT brews: the Bridge Tap House and Wine Bar, Iron Barley, Dressels, the Royale, 3 Kings and for tons of beer only: iTap! enjoy!

1. market garden brewery & distillery
2. great lakes brewery
3. nano brew cleveland
4. mcnulty’s bier markt
and many more!

When in INDY, you must stop at Sun King brewery. Also try 21 Tap in Broadripple area for nice local bar that offers a great selection of local brews (Upland, Bruges, 3 Floyd’s).
Let me know what you think.
