The nation’s largest craft brewer is teaming up with the country’s most prestigious marathon.
Boston Beer Company, maker of Samuel Adams, released that they will be brewing “Boston 26.2 Brew” for the Boston Athletic Association, hosts of the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 16. That’s a lot of Boston.
More details are said to be coming Thursday, but reportedly the beer will be a lower-ABV brew (sorry for those who thought 26.2 meant something else) made with coriander and salt. It will be served at pubs and restaurants along the route and around Boston on Marathon Day.
This follows in the steps of other breweries who have created a special brew for a marathon. Others have included Titletown‘s Belgian Whit 26.2 for the Green Bay Marathon and Arcadia Brewing’s Big Finish Pale Ale for the Kalamazoo Marathon.
Does this give you extra incentive to qualify for Boston now?
