I don’t necessarily want summer to end, but I’m already looking forward to the late-summer and fall races that prominently feature beer. Here are a few you can start entering now.
City of Lakes Trail Loppet
What Each finisher of this half marathon, 13.1K and 5K receives a free Surly beer (with more available for purchase), and door prize tickets will be awarded to SurlyFest, which is happening the same day. Along with that, the “Surlyest Runner” — the person the crowd determines is the most “messed up” at the finish — will also win a set of SurlyFest tickets.

Beer Run 5K
What An inaugural beer run 5K will be held as part of the 1st Annual Anaheim OC Fest of Ales, featuring a flat, fast course through Anaheim’s beer history and on-course challenges.

Tyranena Beer Run
What Each participant in this half marathon run or 4.37 miel run/walk will receive a commemorative Tyranena Beer Run t-shirt, two Tyranena craft beers and a ticket for a complete dinner after the race. Free brewery tours will also be offered in the afternoon. This race usually sells out quickly.

Tap ‘N Run
What Four beer chug locations are strategically placed on the 4K (2.5 mile) race route where participants drink 4-ounces of beer — before more beer at the finish. Every runner received a finisher’s medal that doubles as a bottle opener.

What This half marathon and 5K begins and ends at the historic Spoetzl Brewery and features live music and brewery tours. Benefits the Boot Campaign, a non-profit organization raising funds for military veterans.

Octoberfest Beer Run 5K
What Drink a pint. Run 5k. Drink a pint. Finish. Now that’s how you do a beer run. Finishers in this fundraiser for the MidMichigan Multisport Racing Club get two pints of beer from the Midland Brewing Company, race t-shirt, and custom beer stein. Costumes are “HIGHLY RECOMMENDED” (caps theirs) and awards given for best in show.
