Start a holiday beer run streak
A blogger at Runner’s World is vowing to start a holiday running streak and asking others to join.
I’m on Day 416 of my own streak, so that’s obviously something I can get behind. But let’s be real. To get through the holidays, you’re going to need beer just as much as running.
So I’m calling for all you out there to start a 2011 Holiday Beer Running Streak.
The rules are easy: Just run at least one mile and drink at least one beer per day starting on Thanksgiving through New Year’s.
Runner’s World is using the hashtag #RWRunstreak so others can report their progress, so how about we use #BRRunStreak?
Who’s in??
Thanks to Kristin for the heads up.

I’m in! Perfect motivation for my half marathon in January.
I was already planning on doing the holiday run streak, but I like this idea even better! Count me in
I’m in! I will start tomorrow with a Turkey Trot 5k!
Wow. You started something. I’ve been walking/running since July and was just shy of a mile.
Now that you put the carrot on the stick, I ran my very first mile this morning.
Yea. At 48 years old and hated gym class that was an accomplishment. Want minimum 5K by 49 birthday in April and minimum 10K by 50.
This minimum 1 mile and 1 beer every day till New Years should really keep me on track.
Thanks for the encouragement/dare.

Great idea! Got tricked in to a 5 mile “Turkey Trot” Thanksgiving morning and need to keep it going. We’ll see how this goes…
I’m a reluctant runner, but a avid beer drinker. This Beer Running Streak has driven me to the gym to get those miles back up so I can have my beers guilt free.
I love it! Count me in.
I have been reading about the RW running streak and stumbled on this article in the process. This sounds like 2 great things combined and I might be a little late but I plan on doing it past the New Year.
