Bottoms up to strip down

If your resolution is to get out of your comfort zone in 2013, you might want to sign up for Cupid’s Undie Run.

Of course, beer always helps you get out of your comfort zone, too. You may need it in more ways than one for a February run in your underwear.

The 1.5 mile race on Valentine’s weekend features beer before the race and beer after — and open bar to those who fundraise $150 or more. One of the event sponsors is the excellent brewery start-up Sixpoint. You can learn more about Sixpoint in this DRAFT feature and get my take here.

If you need more reason to sign up, know that it’s for a good cause — all proceeds go to The Children’s Tumor Foundation. The Undie Run takes place in 17 locations across the country, from Seattle on the west coast to New York on the east coast.

You can get more information and register here.

Tim Cigelske is DRAFT's Beer Runner. (Beer Run•ner [noun]: Someone equally devoted to fine beer appreciation and an active, healthy lifestyle. Ex. "John downed four microbrews at the triathlon finish line. He's a total beer runner.”) Follow Tim on Twitter @TheBeerRunner, and email him at beerrunner [at] draftmag.com.

The new IPA
