DRAFT’s 14 highest-rated beers of 2013

It’s New Years Eve, the last chance to pop open beer in 2013 (but don’t worry, beer will probably still be around in the uncertain question mark that is 2014). To help you figure out what bottles and cans to pop/crack open tonight, here’s a trusty list of our top-rated beers this year.

First, a few notes.

This list was pulled straight from our reviews section, which means each beer below was blind-tasted and scored by our panel of BJCP judges. As is the way with beer evaluation, the beers were judged against their respective BJCP style guidelines.

For the sake of simplicity, I chose 95 points as the cutoff for this particular list. A lot (I mean a lot) of great beers clocked in between 90 and 94 points, so if you want to check out other stellar beers, swing by our reviews section. In case you’re wondering why your favorite XYZ Beer didn’t make this list, there’s a good chance we tackled it in previous years. Or, we just haven’t gotten around to reviewing it—yet.

Happy drinking, make smart choices tonight, and I’ll see you again in the New Year!

The list, in no particular order:
