‘The Drunk Diet’ is a real thing


If I tried best, I could not make this up. 

Turns out, Lady Gaga’s ex-boyfriend is a host of a hair metal satellite radio show and the author of a new book called “The Drunk Diet.”

Lüc Carl explains “How I Lost 40 Pounds… Wasted,” which sought to prove all the diet books wrong that you can’t drink alcohol and lose weight.

Regular readers of the blog know that beer and weight loss can co-exist, as Carl found. Just ask Suzi Storm, who lost more than 100 pounds through Weight Watchers without abandoning beer.

Carl followed a similar path. He explains his love for both beer and marathon training in an interview with the Huffington Post:

He’d much rather chat about his marathon training, “the most important thing in [his] life,” and no doubt the reason he’s able to stay in shape in spite of his beer-drinking. In the last year, Lüc has run four marathons. He runs between 50 and 75 miles a week, and aims to eventually compete in The Boston Marathon. He recently partook in The 1576 Steps, a race to the top of the Empire State Building. “I got 17th place,” he proudly told us. tweet
