Associate Editor, DRAFT Magazine
DRAFT Magazine is seeking a motivated associate editor. Responsibilities include conceiving, writing and editing the front-of-book department and other print content, assigning content to freelancers, contributing to DRAFTmag.com and more.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree (journalism degree preferred, but not required)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong grasp of AP style
- Copyediting and story packaging experience
- Familiarity with online media landscape
- Well-developed organizational and problem-solving skills, and an ability to balance multiple responsibilities and deadlines
Web writing experience, a knowledge of craft beer and/or brewing, and experience working with freelancers are plusses. The position is based only at our Phoenix, Ariz. editorial office.
