Featuring regional ingredients and putting Corsica on the map for beer, Brasserie Pietra will feature two brews recently made available for purchase in North America, its namesake amber lager Pietra and its white beer Colomba.
Pietra: The first beer Brasserie Pietra brewed, Pietra is a bottom-fermenting amber ale brewed with chestnut flour, mixed into the malt during mashing. It was important to founders Dominique and Armelle Sialelle that this beer include chestnuts, as they are a symbol of Corsica.
Colomba: This white beer features the aroma of the “maquis,” the Corsican bush land, the signature scent of Corsica. The low-fermentation traditional white beer is a delightful balance between spicy and herbs such as arbutus berry, myrtle, and juniper.
