Emoji are starting to become its own language.

The literary classic Moby Dick has already been translated entirely into emoji – it’s called “Emoji Dick.” And now not one but two emoji-only social networks are in the works.

Thankfully, both beer and running are represented on the emoji keyboard. But now it’s time to take it to the next level.

I recently discovered Imoji, which lets you create emoji out of any photo. This provides you an opportunity to customize your responses related to beer and running, while saving precious characters. That means extra time for running and drinking.

Maybe you want to text your friend about weekend plans for trail running? Message them some trail shoes. Maybe you’re interested in a road race? An emoji of racing flats should suffice.

And of course, you can signify your post-run beer of choice with a can, bottle, keg, draft handle or whatever style you want.

The app allows you to create your own emoji, organize them into groups, or search for and download emoji created by others. I recommend the beer and running searches.

You can check out the app here.
