München Haus Leavenworth, Washington
Who says only big cities have beer gardens? Nestled in the countryside of Washington State just east of Seattle, the München Haus serves up hot brats and cold beer to the tune of Bavarian music at the footsteps of the Cascade Mountains.
Scholz Garten, Austin, Texas
Located just a few blocks from the University of Texas, this watering hole is a little bit of Germany deep in the heart of Texas. Operating since 1866, Scholz Garten contains numerous rooms, a bowling alley and, of course, a large outdoor beer garden where Texans crowd -- especially during football season.
Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden Queens, New York
New York City’s most authentic borough (sorry, Bronx) includes the city’s most authentic beer garden. Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden is in Astoria, Queens, but if you ignore the sites outside its walls, you could be in Prague. Come for the Brouczech, stay for the Klobásy.
