Another list: 101 microbrews to seek out

While everyone was adding their two cents to our 2012 America’s Best Beer Bars list, we stumbled upon another–perhaps more polarizing?–list: Army Times’ roster of 101 must-drink microbrews. The list is divvied up between ales (a little broad, no?), IPAs, porters, stouts, lagers and “Ken’s Favorites.” Classic crafts like Heavy Seas Loose Cannon, and thoughtful picks like Marshall Wharf’s delicious Baltic porter and Jester King’s Black Metal stout show up, as do a few others we think are solid beers, but maybe not in our 101-greatest-of-all-time. Missing? Any of the more renown imperial stouts, and sours from Crooked Stave or Allagash–which you simply have to include if you’re talking beers with creative flavors. How do you rate this list?
