Putting some party into your animal
Published by Scott Bixby on 6.12.2008 at 1:07 p.m.Many lifelong friendships have been formed between people sitting back and sharing a cold beer after a long day’s work. Now that bonding experience can be shared with your dog. Brews specially formulated for dogs have been growing in popularity, with Bowser Beer, produced in Scottsdale, Arizona by 3 Busy Dogs, at the front of the pack.
Bowser Beer is a beef-flavored, 12-ounce brew specially designed for your pooch’s enjoyment, and contains no hops, carbonation or alcohol, all of which are harmful to dogs. Instead, Bowser Beer uses pet-friendly ingredients such as beef stock, glucosamine and malt and barley in their brew. The beer was assessed to perfection by three experienced taste testers: Chewy, Casey and Dax, the three lucky dogs of Jenny Brown, president and top dog of 3 Busy Dogs.
Brown began brewing Bowser in 2007 after experimenting with concentrations of beef broth and hops, and it wasn’t long before the beer became a success. Bowser Beer was a hit at the Northern Virginia Brewfest in June 2007, and is now sold in six-packs in three locations in Scottsdale, as well as online at the company’s Web site, www.3busydogs.com.
