Big Gulps, Eh?
Published by Paige Panter on 7.3.2008 at 11:31 a.m.Whether you measure it as 3 liters, 101.4 ounces or 8.5 cans, The Beer Goddess might just be the biggest glass of beer you can order, and the Heartland Brewery aims to prove so. Heartland Brewery has applied to the Guinness World Records, and in the mean time, invites you to e-mail the brewery any evidence of a larger glass of beer at another bar or restaurant. The Beer Goddess is a 6.3-pint, hand-blown Pilsner glass made for Heartland by Rastal of Germany.
The Goddess is served with a choice of six Heartland beers including its bestseller Cornhusker Lager and the summer seasonal Apricot Ale. Although the glass itself is not for sale at this time, thirsty visitors can drink from The Beer Goddess ($49) at all five New York Heartland locations. “We appreciate that The Beer Goddess may not be for everyone,” founder Jon Bloostein acknowledged, “but we all know beer drinkers for whom it is perfect. That said, we are limiting orders to one per person and encouraging customers to share.” To find out more about this celestial glass of unearthly proportions, check out www.heartlandbrewery.com.
