America’s biggest beer competition announced its winners this afternoon; in all, the
Great American Beer Fest awarded 248 medals. This year’s competition was the stiffest
yet, with entries up 11 percent; in 2011, 3,930 beers fought for medals, compared to
3,523 in 2010. Competition entries were received from 526 breweries from 48 states plus
