Running The Beermuda Triangle

Can you run the Beermuda Triangle?

That’s the nickname of the Washington city of Poulsbo thanks to its three strategically placed tasting rooms, according to the Washington Beer Blog.

And you can run all three corners in the 4th annual 4-mile dash that includes drinking craft beer at Slippery Pig BrewerySound Brewery, and Valholl Brewing. Visiting the three tasting rooms in one session is a feat called the Poulsbo Trifecta, according to the blog.

But this isn’t your traditional point A to point B run.

Up to 100 runners will spread out and start at each brewery, drink a beer, then run to the other two breweries for more beer. After returning back to their starting point, they will enjoy beers from “guest breweries” including Rainy Daze BrewingSlaughter County Brewery and Bainbridge Island Brewing.

Other perks for finishers include a pub glass with the Poulsbo Beer Run logo, a poker run with awards for the best and worst hand, and a course that is open to dogs.

Registration is $35 and includes four beers and special pub glass. All proceeds will benefit the Blue Star Banner Program. You can sign up and pick your brewery starting point here.
