Imperial Stout Turkey Chili

Servings: Serves 8

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • Pkg of 4 Chicken andouille sausage
  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 can diced tomatoes and juice
  • 1 can red kidney beans
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 1 12 ounce bottle Imperial Stout
  • 4 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablesppons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1/2 tablespoon dry basil (crushed)
  • 1/4 tablespoon black pepper

Instructions:

  • Dice the onion and garlic. Brown the turkey in a skillet with the onion and garlic.
  • Drain and rinse the beans. Slice the andouille sausage into bite size pieces. Add beans and sausage and all remaining ingredients to a crockpot/slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
