Blanche de Bruxelles is pale orange and cloudy with a pearl-white head that quickly dissipates. Sweet orange and lemon aromas wind through mild wheat and spice scents. Wheat flavors come forward on the tongue, and the brew's spice and citrus flavors present themselves heartily. The sweetness detracts from what should be a clean, refreshing swallow, but the taste still holds the tongue's interest. This is a medium-bodied brew with effervescent cabonation and only a trace of alcohol; it finishes sweet with lingering orange peel bitterness. |
