DRAFT REVIEW: Moonstone Porter
RATING
84

There’s no coffee in this brew, but a strong sense of java drives the aroma and flavor. Rich toasted bread, coffee and hints of bitter dark chocolate deepen the malt profile; mid-sip, the flavors concede to a rush of ashy roasted malts, which leave a slight sharpness on the tongue. There’s a lot to enjoy in Moonstone, but a bit more sweetness would help counter the biting, dry finish.
