DRAFT REVIEW: Fordham Tavern Pale Ale
This brilliantly clear, amber brew is incredibly well-composed. Its dense, tan head presents a subdued bouquet; wafts of caramel, mild grassy hop notes, and lovely tangerine brushes tickle the nose. It flows smoothly and softly across the palate, though the flavors nudge the tongue with more force than the aroma. An underlying caramel sweetness greets the mouth, paving the way for pine and citrus hop flavors that perk up the palate. The swallow sums up with a bitter finish and a touch of alcohol; masterfully balanced, the beer is well-organized and easy on the tongue.
