DRAFT REVIEW: Baltika #6
RATING
86

This thick brew pours black and lightless with a fleeting tan head. Nutty, toasted malt scents mix with raisin swells creating a Raisin Bran-inspired aroma. Raisin flavors spread thickly across the tongue, nearly obscuring the thin layer of crackerlike malts. Caramel and licorice emerge near the swallow’s center as a smattering of earthy, spicy hops connect with a quiet alcohol burn to bristle the throat. While raisin notes steer this brew deep into the finish, a little more roast would help balance out its rich presence.
