Sunlight Cream Ale

RATING
82

Relative subtlety defines the cream ale style, but this beer’s flavors are truly understated. Light, fruity pear esters twist with grainy scents in the air. Muted grainy bread eases over the tongue first; faint earthy hops vie for attention mid-sip, but prickly carbonation briskly foils the flavors and sweeps the tongue clean. Sunlight excels with effervescence, but the sharp mouthfeel, in turn, overshadows its meek flavor profile.
