What it is: An 8.9%-ABV, 76-IBU imperial IPA.
What it tastes like: This beer’s packed with delicious, vibrant hop character. Each sip offers brilliant grapefruit and pineapple, as well as dank pine and touches of onion. Along the way, sturdy toasted bready malts temper the hop bitterness. It’s a fantastic example of an imperial IPA that emphasizes hop flavor instead of hop bite.
About the name: Saint Arnold reached out to an astronaut friend (it’s based in Houston, after all) to help come up with a name. The friend suggested Endeavour, after the space shuttle orbiter. Bonus fact: The space shuttle was actually named after Captain Cook’s ship, Endeavour.
Awards: Endeavour (the beer) took home silver at the 2012 World Beer Cup.
Pair this with: What else? Space porn. Pop open a bottle of Endeavour, and feast your eyes on cosmic caterpillars, the Cone Nebula, the Milky Way and more.
