Getting weird with beer and running

Anyone who’s been to Austin knows that locals are adamant about keeping their city weird.

One way to accomplish this is by hosting a beer runner-friendly Keep Austin Weird Fest & 5K – a celebration of beer, running, costumes and weirdness.

The Austin Statesman described last weekend’s run as “mixing 97-degree heat, vodka, beer, ice cream and running. Now that’s just weird.”

As I’ve discovered firsthand, Austin is a very beer runner friendly city beyond its weird 5Ks, with great craft beer bars and running and biking trails.

Were you there? Did you get photos? Please share. Especially if you saw this team.
