What’s your Fat Tuesday beer?


Tomorrow’s Fat Tuesday, the highpoint of Mardi Gras, which means a whole bunch of people will pass out somewhere in New Orleans feeling more like obese Tuesday, then rise the next day with a newfound focus on restraint. For those who plan to go through the next few weeks without their favorite vice, I salute you, and shall toast to your hopeful success. Tomorrow night, I’m laying into the Goose Island Bourbon County Stouts (no relation to Bourbon Street, of course). First up, Goose Island Bourbon County Stout, then a bottle of Bramble Rye Bourbon County Stout (brewed with raspberries and blackberries), and to finish it off, a bottle of Bourbon County Coffee Stout. As of now, I’m not sure what beer I’ll crack open on Wednesday.
