WIN: DRAFT’s American Beer Getaway!

/ 0

Where’s the best place to sip hundreds of American beers, attend beer breakout sessions and rock out to live music? Chicago’s Soldier Field, of course! On May 11, the American Beer Classic invades the home of the Bears, and takes over the field with craft pours from Magic Hat, Uncommon, Argus and plenty more. The fest features educational beer classes, and tours of Soldier Field if you’re holding a VIP ticket—and you could be, if you win DRAFT’s American Beer Getaway giveaway! Two beer-loving grand prize winners will each receive:

  • Two VIP tickets to the American Beer Classic on Saturday, May 11 at Soldier Field in Chicago
  • One standard hotel room in Chicago for the nights of May 10 and 11 (room and tax only; parking, hotel charges and other amenities not included)
  • Two seats at a VIP beer dinner on Friday, May 10 at famed beer bar/restaurant Hopleaf (one of DRAFT’s 100 Best Beer Bars!)

Complete the form below to enter; two winners will be chosen randomly April 27th, 2013.

Contest ends April 27th, 2013. Subject to official rules.

This contest has ended. Our winner is being notified and will be posted here when confirmed.

Brewery Travels: My Favorite Brewery/Beer from Each State

In my ongoing quest to visit breweries all across this great land, I have now surpassed the 400 mark, and they’ve been spread across 37 states and 175+ cities. To celebrate this landmark, I’ve put together a ‘Special Edition’ of Brewery Travels: A rundown of my favorites in each of the states visited so far.

Why a Miller Lite Was the Best Beer I’ve Ever Had

I’ve worked in craft beer for nearly five years now. I’ve had the fortune to try some truly amazing brews: Pliny the Elder, Heady Topper, Bourbon Barrel Aged Expedition Stout. Supplication? I’ve got one in my mini-fridge. The reason I’m telling you this is because I want to frame my statements here properly. I’ve had good beer, trust me. The best beer I’ve ever had, though, was a Miller Lite.
