It’s becoming more and more lucrative to be a beer miler.

Elite Canadian track and field runner and current beer mile record holder Corey Bellemore has signed an endorsement deal with Adidas, according to his representative Kristopher Mychasiw.

Bellemore took the beer mile world by storm this summer when he shattered the world record with a 4:34 beer mile, which includes chugging four beers and running one mile. The previous world record of 4:47 was set by fellow Canadian Lewis Kent.

The story produced plenty of buzz after being picked up by TMZ and Fortune Magazine, among other outlets. Canadian Running has a good recap here.

Bellemore follows in the footsteps of Kent, who signed his own multi-year endorsement deal with Brooks. Both athletes are represented by Mychasiw.

The two beer mile stars will meet again on December 17th for the Flotrack World Beer Mile Championship. Oskar Blues brewery is the official beer sponsor of the event, and will provide Mamma’s Little Pils for runners. The races will be streamed for free on FloTrack, a site covering track and running.

Why a Miller Lite Was the Best Beer I’ve Ever Had

I’ve worked in craft beer for nearly five years now. I’ve had the fortune to try some truly amazing brews: Pliny the Elder, Heady Topper, Bourbon Barrel Aged Expedition Stout. Supplication? I’ve got one in my mini-fridge. The reason I’m telling you this is because I want to frame my statements here properly. I’ve had good beer, trust me. The best beer I’ve ever had, though, was a Miller Lite.
