Cheers to Olympian Adeline Gray

On Thursday, Olympic wrestler Adeline Gray will hit the mat in Rio to compete in the Women’s Freestyle 75 kg division. The Denver, Colorado, native is a three-time world champion, and while she likes her medals to be gold, she enjoys her beer a bit darker than that: “My go-to stout is Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout,” she says. “I’m also a fan of porters or anything that has coffee and caramel favors. I really like fuller beers; I like it when they have a lot of texture and flavor.”

The self-professed beer enthusiast has traveled the world for wrestling, but makes time to try new beer wherever she is. “I’m a big fan of going to breweries and trying the sampler boards,” she says. “But I don’t drink close to competition.”

You can catch Gray competing tomorrow; follow her on Twitter (@adelinegray) and Instagram (@adelinegray) to see her journey the rest of the year. “I post about my workouts, my nutrition and the great beer I’m having in different places.”

Why a Miller Lite Was the Best Beer I’ve Ever Had

I’ve worked in craft beer for nearly five years now. I’ve had the fortune to try some truly amazing brews: Pliny the Elder, Heady Topper, Bourbon Barrel Aged Expedition Stout. Supplication? I’ve got one in my mini-fridge. The reason I’m telling you this is because I want to frame my statements here properly. I’ve had good beer, trust me. The best beer I’ve ever had, though, was a Miller Lite.
