Your Daily Pint for Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014 is: EPIC ESCAPE TO COLORADO IPA
What it is: a 6.2%-ABV IPA brewed with Mosaic and Apollo hops.
What it tastes like: This easy-drinking IPA rushes over the tongue with bready malts, which support a wallop of big hop flavors: Mango, tangerine, lemon, and hints of grass and pine. It’s a bright, fruity sip with a clean, bitter finish.
What’s in a name: Utah-based Epic opened up a satellite facility in Denver last year, where they not only pour from the original portfolio, but brew and barrel-aged new beers available exclusively in the Mile-High City.
What are they working on? From the looks of it, Epic-Denver is releasing some of its Pomme Baril, an apple ale aged in apple brandy barrels, this weekend at the taproom.
