Fuel up with the beer bean

If you need energy on the run, you have no shortage of options.

There are gels and Gu. Chomps and tablets. And there’s my favorite, sports jelly beans.

Then there are the flavors. You can get fruity, chocolatey, coffee, espresso, even salted caramel.

And now there’s possibly the crowning achievement of mid-race fuel: The draft beer flavored jelly bean.

“Beer has been a highly-requested flavor for decades, and after years of perfecting the formulation, we’re ready to share this new product with the world,” Jelly Belly announced on its website. “The effervescent and crisp flavor is packed in a golden jelly bean with an iridescent finish.”

It’s also alcohol free, so you don’t have to plan on a beer mile to indulge.

You technically don’t need to be in a race to enjoy the new jelly bean flavor, of course. But what better way to preview the finish line?

The new IPA

Cloudy, hugely flavorful and a lot less bitter, the new breed of IPA is earning high scores and high praise from fans.
