Garage Brewing Co. Hatch Chile IPA You don’t like spicy food or beers—and that’s OK. This Temecula, California-brewed chile IPA captures the flavors, not the heat, of roasted Big Jim Hatch chiles, which lend medium spiciness when added to a dish. Dunked in this IPA after fermentation, the peppers emit a fresh-cut scent that harmonizes with sweet orange and melon hop aromas to give an impression of mango salsa. (Searing up some grilled steak tacos in your backyard this summer? Make this your go-to pour.) Those same tropical melon and citrus hop flavors lead the mouthful, but green chile freshness springs up a beat later and courses alongside the juicy fruit. Because bitterness and heat are restrained, it’s easy to pour a second glass of the 7.5% brew—just make sure to have enough guac and chips for back-and-forth snacking.

MSRP: $5.99
Glassware: Pint
Pair it with: Grilled steak tacos, lemon-marinated chicken, elotes

Why a Miller Lite Was the Best Beer I’ve Ever Had

I’ve worked in craft beer for nearly five years now. I’ve had the fortune to try some truly amazing brews: Pliny the Elder, Heady Topper, Bourbon Barrel Aged Expedition Stout. Supplication? I’ve got one in my mini-fridge. The reason I’m telling you this is because I want to frame my statements here properly. I’ve had good beer, trust me. The best beer I’ve ever had, though, was a Miller Lite.
