Burton Baton

RATING
90

Burton Baton—an old ale/imperial IPA blend—shines a brilliant orange hue in the glass. Lightly toasted malts and toffee braid with juicy orange and tangerine scents. The flavor is a spot-on reflection of the bouquet: Toasted malts arrive first and pick up lush toffee and hints of vanilla as they engulf the tongue. Fresh orange flavors swell in the mouth, while light oak dulls the beer’s edges. Mid-swallow, minty hops and residual sugar poke out before a lasting sweet orange finish prevails.
