Red Barn Ale

RATING
83

Striking orange and lemon peel scents entwine with white pepper and coriander. This beer’s mouthfeel is a careful balance of creaminess with sharp grainy malts. Lemon rind notes stream down the tongue over a bed of crackerlike malts, meeting juicy orange in the middle; light black pepper bristles the tongue along the way. Despite the flavorful base, Red Barn lacks the usually louder spice of the style. Still, it rewards with a finish that leaves behind bright orange and subtle pepper long after the swallow.
