Home Reviews Doppelbock

This brew’s toasted bread scents drift up to the nose as wafts of pepper and caramel tweak the nostrils. On the tongue, rich bread crust stretches out and props up a sweet blend of chocolate and caramel. Spicy hop notes match the beer’s noticeable peppery alcohol mid-sip;  prickly bitterness amplifies the sharpness in the back. A touch of alcohol warmth settles deep into the chest but this doppelbock still wraps up sweetly on the tongue—a stronger bitter presence would benefit this beer’s sticky finish.
