Doppel Bock

RATING
84

This beautiful mahogany-hued brew tickles the nose with toasted bread crust and sweet wafts of rich caramel and raisin. Toasted bread and caramel layer a strong foundation on the tongue, and push back against sharp cuts of orange flavor. In the middle, hints of raisin and dark cherry emerge, adding to the swallow’s complexity before warming alcohol and a touch of bitterness sweep the tongue. In the end, this beer’s sweetness endures and continues long into the finish.
