Orange peel and black pepper scents accent this beer’s sweet malt aroma. On the tongue, fresh doughy malts spread out, cushioning the tongue from sharp jabs of orange pith along the way. Black pepper adds to the beer’s sharpness, which preludes an intense wave of mouth-drying bitterness. While the beer would benefit from a lighter, more effervescent mouthfeel, it’s a logical style introduction for hop fans.
