Tres Vaqueros Amber Ale

RATING
86

Toast and toffee balloon in the aroma; inhale deeper to find earthy hops. This malt-forward brew builds with each sip as rich dough and bread crust thickens. Subtle caramel sweetens the swallow, contrasting a hushed earthy hop presence; firm bitterness attempts to cut through the malts with little success. While Tres Vaqueros’ malt profile makes it worthy of a second round, it really deserves a more vibrant hop partner to play with.
