Washington County

RATING
98

This stunning wild ale is the inaugural beer in a new series celebrating Kentucky's counties. Rustic hay grounds a beautifully full bouquet that knits vinegar, vinous red grape and barnyard aromas into perfect cohesion. Fruity raspberry sweetness initiates the flavor, but funk and earthiness frame the sip; vinous notes emerge in the center with grape must and a smart tannic bite. The very late appearance of oak, right at the end, is the remaining note in a remarkably clean finish.
