Somerset Saison

RATING
83

Citrusy grapefruit and orange stream into the nose while a brush of grass ornaments the bouquet. In the swallow, bready, vanilla sweetness underscores pronounced citrus flavors. Orange lends both sweet juice and tartness; a bit of earthy, tealike bitterness and grapefruit pith dry out the tongue. The style’s hallmark Belgian qualities (pepper, lemon) are noticeably absent, but it’s still a quaffable brew.
