The second altbier offering from this small independent brewery is one you won't soon forget. Just by looking at the specs, it's obvious this beer is going to taste significantly different than the brewery's traditional Long Trail Ale. If there were such a thing, Double Bag might even be dubbed an "imperial altbier:" It starts stronger in both aroma and flavor than the standard version, which is a trait of the beer's increased malt bill. As you lift the glass, you should smell toasty flavors along with some noble hops, which appear right before your first drink. Then, note interesting flavors of cashews and almonds alongside other nutty flavors on the tongue. This brew varies significantly from other altbiers, but if you like the style and are looking for a change of pace, this is a good choice.
