Pretzel Stout


Don’t expect a wallop of pretzel from this beer (even though it was brewed with six pounds of crushed sourdough pretzels per barrel). Instead, crusty dried pretzel expresses itself more as toast and bread dough, augmenting a beautifully rich, oat-rounded base stout. Toasted breadcrust, cocoa powder and quiet roast mingle in the aroma. Hard pretzellike, crackery malts greet the tongue first, backed up by dark chocolate that dives into a satisfying, ashy roasted finish.
