Neva Eva Land

A collaboration between two of Indiana’s most creative breweries would, of course, yield an off-the-wall beer: a wee heavy brewed with Australian hops and smoked lavender. There’s a straightforward, well-constructed Scotch ale at the base, which easily supports the whisper of smoke and faint hints of lavender. Toasted bread and molasses initiate the sip before subtle smoke arrives; by the time you pick up the smoke, it’s gone, transitioning seamlessly to a floral dryness that closes the complex swallow. Count yourself lucky if you got a taste of it at this 2016's Dark Lord Day.
