To smell this Simcoe-, Citra- and Mosaic-hopped brew is to take a stroll through a forest of wet pine, tangerine and Walla Walla onion. On the tongue, the sip is even-keeled; saltines and bread crust deftly balance pungent pine, onion and lime zest. The body, almost too heavy for a session ale, is nonetheless extremely soft in the finish, which concludes with pillowy, doughy malts.
