Prohibition Ale

RATING
87

This brew pours a deep golden hue and wears a lacy, white head. Its sharp aroma zings the nose with fresh, zesty hops and toasted, caramelized malt. Prohibition begins sweetly on the tongue with caramel and bread flavors before relinquishing to hops that are grapefruity, floral, and bitter. With a pleasant medium body, light alcohol presence, and dry finish, the beer doesn’t display any inherent flaws, but in a world of intensely flavored and well-nuanced ambers, this one might get lost in the shuffle.
