Lincoln Lager

RATING
88

This brew pours a clear honey-gold color topped by a frothy, white crown. Its aroma emits crisp, peppery hops with faint scents of malted barley sneaking through. The flavor begins fairly sweet, with slightly caramelized grains and candylike lemon peel. The hops begin by displaying themselves with hints of lavender and dried flowers, but quickly transcend to vibrant spicy tones that last into the aftertaste. This medium-bodied beer offers scrubbing carbonation, very low alcohol presence, and a mild bitterness -- just enough to keep the sweetness from overwhelming the palate, and the ideal counterbalance to the beer’s floral hop aftertaste.
