Weiherer Rauch

This bright, gold beer is on the lighter side of the style. The mildly smoked aroma showcases just subtle bacony notes. The taste starts with a soft, bready malt sweetness that is quickly run over by peppery, floral hops and mild bitterness. The smoke flavor has a late reveal and doesn’t take hold until a few sips in, where it gains enough girth to stick around into the aftertaste. With more sips the smoke gets heavier, but it still doesn’t overwhelm the palate. This swallow finishes dry with low alcohol warmth.
