Olde Suffolk

This copper brew is a blend of two beers, one that has been aged in oak for two years. The age shines in the beer’s aroma; it’s slightly oxidized with prominent plum and lightly toasted malt notes, backed by a subtle wood scent. The flavor is complex and layered, with bold, toasted nut sweetness in the beginning that gives way to peppery pears and subtle wood notes. It features a creamy body, dry finish, and a firm alcohol heat that doesn’t overwhelm. The beer is masterfully brewed and a wonderful example of the style.
