Imperial Stout

This brew pours heavy jet-black with a creamy, brown head. Its supple aroma is a mixture of roasted barley, coffee, and plums. Deeply roasted (even slightly burnt) barley starts the flavor, before soft cherry and plum notes appear on the tongue. An impressive hop bitterness comes on late in the taste. The grains bring a soft acrid note felt on the sides of the mouth that helps keep the beer’s massive sweet malts in check. The stout’s body is creamy and full, while the alcohol is smooth and very well-contained. It finishes dry with long-lasting coffee and fruit flavors.
